Requires 12 months of experience as a Concrete Laborer or closely related occupation.
Terms & Conditions of Employment: Workers will be paid between $18.45 and $30 per hour for at least 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (schedule varies and weekends may be required). The pay rate depends on the location of the job and whether there are city, county, or state wage requirements that apply. Overtime is anticipated (approximately 10 hours per week). Overtime rate of pay is between $27.68 and $45 per hour (net fringe cash portion of higher wage is not subject to overtime). Martin J Concrete will pay the cost of lodging for any jobs out of town that require overnight lodging.
Transportation: If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, Martin J Concrete will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed early, Martin J Concrete will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $12.68 per day during travel to a maximum of $55.00 per day with receipts. Workers are responsible for daily transportation to and from the designated pick-up location at the Coopersville office. Employer will then provide each work crew with daily transportation among the worksite locations.
Three-fourths guarantee: Martin J Concrete guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
Tools, equipment & supplies: Martin J Concrete will provide worker at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.
Miscellaneous: Martin J Concrete will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Workers will be paid weekly. Martin J Concrete will assist workers with finding lodging, if necessary. Martin J Concrete will make all deductions from the worker’s paycheck required by law and may also have other deductions not required by law if reasonable and approved by employee. Martin J Concrete will reimburse in the first week all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the worker.
