- The Packer is responsible for visually inspecting and packing items for shipment.
- Assembles cardboard containers or selects pre-assembled containers.
- Inserts items into containers using spacers, fillers, and protective padding.
- Binds containers with proper material, i.e. tape.
- Weighs parts for count.
- Makes and applies identifying information (labels) and shipping instructions onto containers.
- Posts weights, shipping charges and affixes postage.
- Ensures information is accurate and conforms to order.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Keeps work area clean and neat.
- Abides by all policies, procedures, guidelines of the company, including conformance to good common sense safety practices.
