Downtown Grand Rapids Ambassador team is searching for 2 Pressure Washers to make downtown Grand Rapids shine! Any experience in pressure washing, small engine repair, construction would be beneficial. Valid Driver's License Preferred. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail and keep their eyes on safety. We are working in and on open city sidewalks, so safety is an absolute must.

Our Pressure Washing Associate is expected to provide a high level of visibility on the street to carry out a wide variety of tasks that improve the overall appearance of the service district they are assigned to. Tasks assigned will include but are not limited to:
- Operating various equipment to vacuum and clean sidewalks
- Flower watering and other landscape enhancing activities such as weed removal
- Light maintenance of equipment such as oil changes & replacing spark plugs
- Utilizing power tools to deploy & repair infrastructure such as benches and trash cans
Other Essential Functions:
- OBSERVE AND REPORT– while on patrol and washing be watchful for unwanted behaviors or criminal activity and report to Safety Ambassadors via two-way radios. Must be able to articulate an accurate description of persons, vehicles, and other similar identifiers.
- HOSPITALITY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE – While on patrol and washing actively acknowledge pedestrians with a friendly greeting or identify visitors in order to provide directions, information, city information or recommendations.
- REPORTING – must be able to provide written reports of broken infrastructure, graffiti on private property, and provide a basic daily report of accomplishments and tasks completed. This position is akin to a “Special Projects” position so we need people that can keep track of work orders and ensure that any broken handrails or important public safety hazards are documented and reported.
- PROFESSIONALISM – Must maintain a positive, professional environment in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures and overall Block by Block standards of expected professionalism. Requirements
- CLEAN MI DRIVER’S LICENSE - preferred
- EXPERIENCE – Previous experience involving knowledge of terminology, tools and equipment used in the pressure washing field
- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Frequently lifts, carries or otherwise moves and positions objects weighting 60 to 100 lbs. Frequently bends, kneels and crouches. Repetitive movement of hands, arms and legs, sweeping, moping and pushing/lifting. May drive vehicle if needed. Continuous traversing and moving about. Exposure to adverse weather conditions, hazardous chemicals, odors, dirt and dust.
