Conduct intake and comprehensive assessments, as well as create training plans. They will also track trainee participation and progress using the One-Stop Management Information System, arrange for supportive services, and connect with the partner Institutions of Higher Education.

• Maintain and be knowledgeable of all program policies and procedures;
• Facilitate and inform clients of program design and goals during individual and orientation meetings;
• Complete initial assessment and evaluate customer's practical needs by addressing his/her barriers and family situation;
• Interpret, analyze and summarize customer's initial assessment for development of the individual employment plan;
• Provide ongoing case management duties;
• Assign allowable and appropriate program activities. Monitor and document participant progress;
• Provide supportive services to assist participant with barrier removal based on barriers identified on the IEP. Complete necessary steps to facilitate payment. Verify accuracy, attach all required documentation and forward to fiscal department by required deadline;
• Document all participant communication, progress, barriers, etc in case notes in OSMIS;
• Complete all necessary program paperwork on time and use OSMIS as directed;
• Provide outreach to assist in the marketing and recruitment of program participants, specifically targeting MiLEAP Classroom activities;
• Be knowledgeable of community agencies and services available for customer referrals as needed;
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of performance objectives and how placement, retention and post-program follow-up affect these;
• Communicate in a professional manner with all customers, partner staff and coworkers in person, by phone or through electronic messaging.
• Travel to other campuses and Michigan Works! offices and to training as needed.
