Minimum Qualifications
• Master's Degree in Nursing
• Current Michigan Registered Nursing licensure or eligibility for Michigan licensure
• Two years' full-time successful work experience in registered nursing
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated skill in effective written and oral communications
• Ability to assist nursing students in clinic with the delivery of patient care
• Clinical competency in two areas of nursing
• Computer literacy and the ability to provide communication and/or instruction through alternative classroom platforms
• Commitment to quality instruction in a learner-centered environment
• Commitment to the community college philosophy, and to practical and associate
degree nursing
• Basic life support certification
• Commitment to the nursing philosophy as accepted by National League of Nursing
Accreditation
• Commitment to the community college philosophy, and to practical and associate
degree nursing.
Preferred Qualifications
• Clinical competence in several areas of nursing, such as, medical-surgical, obstetrics, pediatrics, community health, home nursing, or geriatrics.
• Post-secondary teaching experience, especially teaching practical and associate degree nursing
students.
• Successful experience working with at-risk students.
• Familiarity with active and collaborative learning strategies, teaching of critical thinking and critical literacy skills.
• Willingness to learn and implement new teaching strategies related to active learning.
• Willingness and ability to travel to placement sites.
• Flexibility and creativity in relationship to the changing role of nurses today.
• Willingness to travel to attend meetings.

Salary Range
Salary is dependent upon education and experience as outlined in the Full-Time Faculty Master Agreement.
The position would begin for the Fall 2023 semester.
