Bi-Weekly Pay
As a Production Supervisoryou will work closely with our engineering and manufacturing teams to supervise factory employees and production in the Metals business unit on 2ndshift. This job offers many opportunities for innovation and product/process improvement. The production supervisor is involved in projects from the beginning: starting with design review, all the way through final shipment. This is a hands on opportunity to build and work with aluminum materialin a team setting.The ideal candidate will have a high degree of technical aptitude and have had exposure in a variety of areas, such as manufacturing, machining, and leadership plus be eager to gain experience in these fields.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting with design modifications for machinability and manufacturability
Being involved in design and implementation
Optimizing use of equipment
Working with operators to validate parts meet customer requirements
Assisting with design solutions to match equipment/material limitations with customer requirements
Assisting in engineering change process
Assisting in developing work instructions
Managing complex routings
Cycle counting critical inventory
Implementing Quality Management techniques
Minimizing Waste
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Maintaining a positive attitude and work environment
Providing training and cross training of operators in proper techniques and procedures
Leading by example in the areas of attitude, quality and safety
Facilitating daily production team meetings
Using visual management techniques
Reviewing and approving employee attendance/vacation
Implementing job rotation, enlargement and enrichment
Promoting employee empowerment, growth and facilitate training

Qualifications:
2-5 years of related experience desired
Associate's degree in a technical field, preferred
Initiative for product/process improvement
Leadership seminars and/or coursework
Working knowledge of technical drawings and GD&T
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
Outstanding organizational and time management skills
Excellent technical communication skills
Ability to manipulate CAD/CAM files or programming experience a plus
