Our growing company is seeking to hire a 2nd Shift Production Lead at our Vanderbilt North location. You will be effectively making plans and implementing work for assigned production department ensuring parts or materials and manpower are available for the department to perform the work. Requires knowledge, skill and ability to perform and fill in for any position in the department and can perform equipment setup.
A role like this comes with some important responsibilities, some of those responsibilities include:
Responsible for product quality, workmanship and methods applications, meeting production schedules and general departmental operations consistent with the company's manufacturing objectives.
Organizes and assign work; train and guide employees in proper methods of running jobs.
Anticipate production problems, e.g. unavoidable delays, material shortages, equipment malfunctions, etc. and where feasible devise and implement procedures to offset loss of man hours and schedule interruptions.
Coordinate repairs of equipment to avoid excessive downtime.
Police use of safety devices, equipment, departmental housekeeping, and maintain constant alert for hazardous conditions.
Maintain conformance with Company work rules and regulations.
Provides other support to production and management as required.
Other duties as assigned.

What Does It Take to Be a Fit for This Role?
High school diploma or equivalent education and experience. Minimum of 3 years' experience in a preparatory position of similar work. Must be able to use scales and measurement instruments, and perform SPC.
