The primary responsibility of the HVAC Technician is to install, repair and maintain a variety of equipment including: refrigeration, air conditioning, electric motors, heating units, heat pumps, compressors, boilers, exhaust fans, economizers, and humidifiers. Inspects HVAC systems and their components. Calibrates temperature control related sensors, receivers and transmitters. Monitors, troubleshoots and maintains control systems, including pneumatic, DDS / hybrid systems. Effectively monitors and adjusts interior environments via a Building Automation System. Maintains relevant logs and documentation. Monitors the performance of HVAC subcontractors, including conformance to code. Responds to emergency situations during and after hours.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Minimum educational requirement: High School Diploma/equivalent.
