Summary
Analyzes, plans, orders and expedites material to meet production needs. Controls and processes the release of parts numbers and drawings into production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ordering of all materials, per MRP to meet production schedules
- Expedite materials needed to meet customer order requirements that fall inside standard lead time.
- Assist sales with quoted lead times based on arrival of materials as shown in MRP
- Work with suppliers on long lead time materials
- Control inventory transitions – Obsolescence, Engineering Changes, Use-up.
- Assist with forecasting materials and manage material flow from orders and forecasts.
- Coordinate BOM changes that occur during production life cycle.
- Work with logistics (internal/external) to attain the most economical delivery of inbound raw materials.
- Work with production team to ensure proper support for all material needs, fluctuations, and losses.
- Maintain released drawings in Windchill customer library.
- Initiate NIT and close ECO on released parts.
- Performs backup duties as assigned by Operations Manager
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Associates degree and 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
