The company is currently seeking an experienced Materials Coordinator.
Responsibilities
Schedule and ship merchandise orders. Perform lookups to see if parts are in and if assembly is required.
Schedule and ship Unibeam orders
Act as back up for Airport Baggage Handling shipping
Maintain steel allocating/kitting program. Process paperwork from lasers. Analyze errors and help with process improvement.
Manually process move tickets on Harbor Springs nests after nests are processed.
Facilitate steel inventory (sheet steel and full length material for cut to size parts). Analyze counts and offer insight to possible causes.
Facilitate daily cycle count. Analyze counts and offer insight on problem causes.
Manually kit 12 gauge steel for sider beds. Run on shear vs using laser program.
Prepare CCIT sheets for shop. Pair with coordinating inspection sheets.
Kit motors after wiring department physically takes material.
Cut/peel miscellaneous vinyl labels or stencils as needed in the shop for jobs.
Act as backup for receiving department.
Perform miscellaneous part adjustments from cut/saw area. Manually kit material as it is used when possible due to move ticket/shop router structure. Work with shop on large drop issues.
Scan all BOL/UPS/Fed Ex shipment information to Farmington Hills daily.
Work as team leader for receiving/shop materials personnel
Coordinate incoming inspections with receiving department
Work closely with ISO leader in plant
BC CAR Coordinator
Set up steel cycle counts as needed. Enter counts into VIS and on work sheets
Run daily shipper reports
Perform other work related duties as required
Constantly move/traverse throughout the shop to access office equipment; operate a computer and other productivity machinery
Constantly communicate with others through talking/hearing;
Constantly read/identify/assess forms and correspondence
Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or 2 - 5 years experience in a design to order manufacturing environment.
Excellent verbal, written, and negotiation skills
Proficient in Microsoft office products
Experience with SAP software
