This department also leads our efforts related to drafting support for our Engineering team and managing our Computer Aided Drafting Standards. This team has a major part in delivering on our capital investment strategy for the Company and maintaining configuration management for our Operations team members.Job DescriptionTechnician is responsible for creating new drawings based on sketches from engineering, picking up as-built comments on construction drawings, supporting DCR drawing updates with varying complexity utilizing AutoCAD or MicroStation software. Electrical drafting & design experience is preferred but would also consider Mechanical and Civil experience. The majority of employee's work will be completed in office, but some field work may be required.•Utilize lean principles including visual management, operating reviews, problem solving, standard work and waste elimination to drive continuous improvement and improve performance.•Maintain accurate engineering records for all of CE's Electrical Assets to meet our stakeholder's needs by leveraging the CE Way.•Maintains EGI drawing standards to ensure consistency for all drawings regardless of the organization making the revision.•Having a working knowledge of the Electric Utility systems.•Effectively prioritizing and organizing small to large sized projects in response to the needs of the customer. This will primarily revolve around gathering customer scopes and following the project from the design, scheduling, and field construction phases by the customers want date.•Coordinating pre-requisites for successful completion of a project to meet customer commitments requiring ingenuity as to application of normal procedures.•Coordinate with employees in other departments and/or external agencies to meet any specialrequirements of any assigned project.•The ideal applicant should exhibit exceptional problem-solving skills, recommend alternatives, and take corrective action, while exhibiting in-depth knowledge of the policies and procedures of the business.Position can be filled at any of the following locations: Ludington, JHC- CAMPBELL (West Olive), Jackson, Karn (Essexville)Required Qualifications•A two-year associate degree in a scientific or technical field, or 48 scientific or technical credit hours as measured on a semester basis.
