The Marketing Writer is responsible for supporting the Marketing components of the Retail Roadmap, specifically as it relates to written communications. They will be embedded in the Product Marketing Team to support the agile approach to developing and fulfilling Marketing Strategies that are required to deliver on our Product goals (Clean Energy Products, Home Products, and Industrial Products). This role will draft copy for use on our website, direct customer communications, and print and online advertising, with a goal of increasing awareness and enrollment in our products and services.
- Work closely with Product Marketing team to develop creative, compelling copy for use in a variety of communications platforms
- Work with Corporate Communications team to ensure consistency in brand messaging across channels
- Collaborate with design team to ensure consistency between messaging and overall look/feel of communication
- Work with legal staff to complete reviews of copy and apply changes based on feedback
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2+ years of experience
The Communications Job Family is utilized in the Government and Public Affairs department of the Company. This job family provides advice and council regarding communications activities for all areas of the Company. Responsible for developing and creating information, educational programs and other informative processes for disseminating informational, educational, and promotional materials.

Plans and conducts public relations programs in order to disseminate informational, educational, and promotional materials concerning the activities of the Company. Prepares and distributes news releases, photographs, fact sheets, etc. to media representatives and other interested parties. Assesses public attitudes toward the Company and its programs; develops programs to promote favorable attitudes. Makes educational presentations to groups regarding Company programs and/or obtains professional personnel to do so. Reviews and analyzes for suitability, departmental reports and research data before release to the general public. Formulates procedures, policies, and guidelines for assigned communications programs. Performs duties of unusual significance or importance to the Company. Makes recommendations in areas of expertise. Develops program goals and plans for implementation. Develops alternative strategies for programs based on analysis and research in an assigned specialty area. Acts as a liaison with other agencies, organizations, and employees to coordinate communications programs. Plans and coordinates the training of staff in communications activities. Serves as a technical advisor and liaison with industry, community groups, and/or governmental agencies. Completes special projects. Prepares special studies and reports. Performs related work as assigned. Exemplifies safe work practices and follows the Company's compliance standards. Regular attendance is expected.
