PURPOSE
This full-time position provides general oversight, inspections, and quality control measures implemented by Ritsema Associates for all aspects of a construction projects. The QC/P Manager provides the experience and ability to identify and implement a high standard of project execution and completeness of deliverables to represent Ritsema Associates work in order to meet and/or exceed acceptable industry standards resulting in a quality product for our client(s).
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
• Maintain the Company’s Quality Control Plan.
• Develop and draft project specific Quality Control Plans in coordination with the Project Management team.
• Conduct field reviews and inspections of ongoing and completed work to verify competency and accuracy with respect to approved construction methods and applications.
• Monitor Quality Control measures on multiple job sites simultaneously with proper coordination and documentation.
• Development of effective communications and mechanisms for resolving conflicts among the various participants.
• Oversee quality control procedures on construction projects including coordination and review of third-party inspections and material testing.
• Communicate effectively with the Project Management team and Superintendents.
• Assist the Project Management team in identifying the elements of project design and construction likely to give rise to disputes and claims and assist in determining an acceptable resolution.
• Maintain strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality, and safety standards.
• Perform periodic inspections of all construction sites. Preparing and reviewing:
- Daily field logs and reports of inspections
- Project progress photos
- Meeting notes with subcontractors and clients
- Project production logs
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Must have a general knowledge of products Ritsema Associates installs such as, but not limited to:
- Drywall
- Metal Stud Framing
- Acoustical Ceilings Systems
- EIFS / DIFS
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe.
- Ability to work independently on multiple tasks with changing priorities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work as a team when interacting and influencing various segments of the organization.
- Must be diligent, conscientious, detail oriented, honest, motivated, self-starter who completes tasks in a timely manner.
- Reports to Operations Manager
