Plascore is looking to add an experienced Maintenance Mechanic III to join our Aramid team on 1st shift. The ideal candidate must have strong electrical skills to help ensure all plant equipment and machinery is maintained in working order, to build and rebuild equipment to meet manufacturing need and to perform general building and site maintenance.
1st Shift Hours: 6:30AM to 2:30PM Mon-Friday
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain all equipment in the Business Unit.
Keep all equipment in safe operating conditions.
Perform preventive maintenance.
Install new equipment as required.
Perform safety inspections on all equipment.
Repair fork trucks as required.
Schedule repair work on equipment based on production needs.
Troubleshoot complicated electrical problems including PLCs, variable frequency drives, programmable controls, servo controls, etc.
Update any electrical, hydraulic or pneumatic changes made to equipment on the control drawings.
Fabricate fixtures, guards or parts to maintain or improve the equipment.
Perform typical electrical, plumbing, pipefitting, welding or machine work to maintain the equipment.
Make out purchase requisitions for repair parts and replacement stock items.
Be able to recognize process problems and help find solutions for them.
Look for opportunities to improve equipment efficiency or process improvements.
Maintain all records of repairs made to equipment.
Work independently without supervision
Provide the customer with the best value including Cost, Quality, and Delivery
Participate in improving our product, processes, equipment and methods
Handle internal and external questions in a prompt professional manner
Maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times
Continually looks for ways to improve job efficiency and performance
Perform all reasonably related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
2-5 years of progressive maintenance experience desired
Electrical maintenance experience preferred.
Highschool Diploma
Strong independent judgement
Ability to efficiently recognize and analyze problems
Experience with developing methods and procedures to meet unusual conditions
Excellent technical communication skills
Proven track record of ability to work independently
Requirements:
Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR Regulations. Therefore, candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Permanent Resident ('Green Card').
