Under the direction of the Team Lead Marketing Operations, the Digital Designer will be responsible for elevating the user experience and engagement across all digital interfaces and channels including, but not limited to: social, email, web, and apps through engaging digital content design.
The Digital Designer will have a proven history of engaging, omni-channel design, across CMS systems, devices and responsive digital environments and possess the ability to communicate the rationale for designs based on their understanding of engagement across the broader digital ecosystem. They possess the ability to differentiate between design types that deliver against a variety of KPIs to help achieve digital marketing and organizational goals.
This role will support digital design deliverables for Versiti brands and will contribute to the development and maintenance of digital marketing style guides, organizational assets and work-flow governance.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
•Web design, deployment, and maintenance
•Ensures elegant design and development of responsive email templates
•Creates & deploys, engaging, on-brand original digital design assets set-up for an omnichannel experience
•Creates & deploys unique design assets specific to paid social initiatives: filters, frames, stickers, gifs, etc.
•Develops and enhances fresh, engaging and relevant digital content across all brand channels to target audience to acquire, retain and deepen relationships
•Management of CMS: email and web
•Executes rolling audits of corporate digital assets to ensure accurate content and best user experience
•Regular and frequent communication with stakeholders
•Address stakeholder concerns and issues in a professional and timely manner
•Monitors supporting marketing programs regularly to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness
•Actively collaborates and communicates with segments to build digital environments that meet organizational goals
•Leads timely fulfillment and delivery of web-based and digital interface projects
•Reports on programs results and analytics
•Keep current with relevant emerging digital technologies and trends
•Develop and maintain positive, productive relationships with cross-departmental teams including marketing and IS staff
•Design and maintain intranet and internet spaces and digital assets for organizational use
•Ensure the organization’s online web messaging and tone communicates organizational priorities and accurately represents Versiti brands
•Support ongoing SEO and competitive and keyword research to inform content projects
•Represents Versiti and marketing at designated meetings
•Maintains required records, reports, and files as pertains to areas of responsibility
•Participates in professional education to keep up to date on relevant developments in the field
•Build relationships with local stakeholders to collaborate and deliver on expectations
•Bachelor’s degree in design field preferred with approved portfolio of work, or two-year degree with exceptional portfolio and relevant experience
•Minimum of 3 years experience in digital design with a solid understanding of the relationship between content, visual design, and user experience
•Strong creative aesthetic with national brand experience preferred
•Responsive design for evolving digital platforms: desktop, mobile, tablet
•Able to translate marketing objectives into digital solutions
•Expert in Adobe Creative Suite
•Motion graphic design and video
•SEO, metadata and tagging
•Working knowledge of current marketing communications tools and technologies
•Demonstrated ability to work across teams
•Demonstrated ability to work under tight deadlines
•Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate project status, deliverables, and results
Skills and Knowledge
•Digital industry experience, preferably in a structured, process-driven environment
•Excellent working knowledge of HTML and CSS
•Conceptualize, design and execute engaging digital media concepts: photography, content (graphics, animation, etc.)
•Design engaging digital assets for managed social media
•Ability to translate business objectives into engaging and measurable digital experiences
•Exceptional project management and ability to deliver action plans
•Proven ability to support brand aesthetic in all digital media including web pages including typography, graphics, color, and layout
•Understand and discover our target audiences’ needs, and goals and translate them into creative concepts
•Working knowledge of back-end web development and the design limitations and capabilities as they relate to various digital environments.
