Praxis Packaging continues to grow!!! We are seeking skilled Maintenance Set-Up Technicians on 1st, 2nd & 3rd Shifts. This role keeps our production going! We have a very flexible operation, and this role sets-up, adjusts, and maintains the production equipment in our FDA / cGMP regulated environment. Key duties are performing troubleshooting maintenance duties on our equipment to maximize equipment up-time and readiness. Successful candidates will have good mechanical repair skills and a strong sense of urgency. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. This is a fast-paced environment! You must work well independently and be able to change priorities quickly in a flexible environment.
- Shifts are Monday - Friday, 3:00p-11:30p & 9:30p-6:00a. Overtime and Weekend work is common but balanced.
- Wages are $20.00/hr-$29.00/hr depending upon experience.
- Work during 2nd Shift hours receives a $1.00/hr Shift Premium & work on 3rd Shift = $3.00/hr premium.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Able to set up, and adjust (sizes and speeds) and troubleshoot packaging and production equipment such as (but not limited to):
- Coding machines – code wheels, ink jets, etc.
- Film machines – shanklin, etc.
- Labelers
- Tape machines
- Check weighers - programming
- Bar code scanners – programming
- Stretch packers
- Cartoners
- Glue systems
- Vision Systems
- Repair mechanical functions using specialty tools.
- Work with Production to coordinate timely line change-over.
- Manage time to anticipate production needs and eliminate down time.
- Complete paperwork required for line set-up: lock-out/tag-out, start-up inspection, check maintenance documentation, etc.
- Identify possible mechanical problems and report them to the Maintenance Lead.
- Perform preventative maintenance as required by company PM program.
Knowledge & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of basic machine repairs, pneumatics, hydraulics and electricity.
- Able to read technical documents.
- The ability to work independently, without supervision required
- Ability to organize priorities and workload required
- Ability to follow basic English instructions and communicate as needed (with or without a translator), required
- Ability to follow job aids, pictorial instructions, and queues, required
