The Hospitality Assistant position exists to provide stewardship for all aspects of serving couples through food service and housekeeping.Essential Duties/Responsibilities:Food Service:Prepares meals from predetermined menus for intensives, retreats, and special eventsServes, interacts, and is sensitive to the needs of the couples and guestsMaintains cleanliness of kitchen and dining area, dailyObserves and follows all Health Department CodesHousekeeping:Maintains the cleanliness of Guest Rooms; general cleaning of bedroom, bathroom, sitting area, and porchMaintains the cleanliness of the entire facility; general cleaning of common bathrooms, seating areas, counseling rooms, café, floors, windows, etc.Is sensitive to know when areas are off limits for cleaning due to noiseDoes laundry as neededOther Duties/Responsibilities:Performs other duties as requiredWorking Environment/Physical Requirements:Must be able to pass a Post Offer Prehire Physical examMust be able to lift up to 40lbsMust be able to push/pull up to 25lbsMust be able to bend and reach above headRequires repetitive tasks/motions, good eye-hand-foot coordination, and good manual dexterityFrequently requires bending, kneeling, crouching, and reachingSome exposure to gases, odors, fumes, cleaning chemicals, bodily waste, dust, and sharp utensilsJOB QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTSCharacter/Spiritual:Exemplifies Ephesians 5:1-2, "Therefore be imitators of God as dear children and walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us..."Pursues the Great Commission given by Jesus Christ in Matthew 28:19-20, "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

Knowledge/Experience:High school diploma or equivalent1-3 years of experience in food service preparationMust achieve and maintain Serve Safe Certification and Chemical Training CertificationSkills, Abilities, and Special Talents/Gifts:Strong customer service and people skillsAbility to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructionsFlexible in adjusting prioritiesAbility to work independently with very little immediate supervisionAbility to work with various food preparation machines and equipment, sharp knives, and various chemicals
