The Outreach Advocate will be responsible for organizing and implementing special activities for adults residentially and non-residentially which promotes good mental and physical health to adult victims of domestic and sexual violence, dating violence, and stalking in the River House, Inc. four-county service area (Crawford, Ogemaw, Oscoda, and Roscommon). Attend and facilitate group meetings and presentations in the community.
This job is part-time, up to 28 hrs/wk
Associates in a human service field or equivalent experience required. Excellent organizational and planning skills. Ability to relate to individuals in crisis. Must be able to understand and easily relate to people and show empathy for victims of domestic violence, sexual violence, and stalking. Use of personal vehicle/reliable transportation is required along with current Michigan driver’s license and car insurance on file. Has a working knowledge of computers.
