This 1stshift Quality Technician position will be located in our Plant 4 Thermatech Operation in Whitehall, MI. The shift hours, after training, will be 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (subject to change, based on company needs).
As a Quality Technician, the responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Efficient preparation, evaluation & overview of product/paperwork to certify shipments.
• Interpret customer requirements and prepare documents in support of MRB submittal.
• Validate quality system compliance and perform product audits.
• Collect and prepare statistical data reports.
• Interpret customer contractual requirements in support of shipments/MRB.
• Final decision on product quality.
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
Minimum of one-year experience performing quality tasks in a manufacturing environment.
Successfully meet the standardized Pre-Visor testing requirements. If applicant possesses a minimum of an associate degree, testing is not required.
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.
Previous experience as Quality Technician, Inspector, or Quality Auditor in a manufacturing environment.
PC experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Familiarity with scientific quality tools.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to utilize customer web sites to upload data/review results.
Must be energetic and a self-starter, able to promote and implement change, have good PC skills, good telephone skills, strong organizational skills, and ability to promote a continuous improvement atmosphere.
