Potential employees do not need prior experience. I-Ride is offering paid training and a signing bonus of up to $2000. Recruitment bonuses up to $2000 through december of 2021.
Starting wages have been increased to $16.50/per hr.

Drivers are responsible for transporting passengers in a safe, efficient and courteous manner. They must complete all necessary paperwork, recordkeeping and reports as required by the position for the ICTC.
Essential Functions:
- Inspection of the vehicle prior to each
- Picking up and delivering passengers to the appropriate
- Collect correct fares and sell/record pass sales.
- Ability to assist passengers that are elderly and/or disabled on and off the vehicle which may include using the hydraulic lift or ramp.
- Responsible for keeping the vehicle properly and comfortably lighted, heated and ventilated.
- Responsible for inspecting the passenger compartment for passenger items and turn in to the lost and found at the end of the
- Report all necessary vehicle servicing needed through the dispatcher and update daily vehicle checkout form.
- Complete necessary paperwork accurately, legibly and in full.
- Responsible for proper securement of wheelchairs, mobility devices, walking aide, bikes or strollers used by ICTC
- Responsible for the safety of passengers while being transported.
- Report all incidents and accidents immediately and accurately complete necessary
- Responsible for the cleanliness of the ICTC bus that they are
- Responsible for emptying driver fare box into deposit bags and placing in the designated location.
Education and Experience
Must have graduated from an accredited high school or equivalent, successfully completed a driving record check through the Department of State Bureau of Driver & Vehicle Record Lookup.
Must have good driving record with no more than one(1) moving violation currently on record, nor any convictions for impaired driving, operating under the influence, reckless driving, or reckless endangerment five (5) years or less prior to application.
The successful candidate will need to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical by an approved medical facility. Must possess a Commercial Driver's License with the approved endorsements to legally operate all ICTC vehicles.
The successful candidate will be required to complete the written and driving tests to receive the permanent Commercial Driver's License and complete the established training program with the approved ICTC certified trainer.
The successful applicant will be able to show a satisfactory attendance record as well as a willingness to adapt to change in the working environment and work toward greater efficiency in ICTC operations.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Knowledge of major and local city streets and roads in Isabella County.
- Knowledge of regulation governing the ability to use the two-way radio
- Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
