We are seeking experienced drivers to serve our supply chain logistics department in a
safe and timely manner. A CDL license is NOT required, but a Chauffeur License and
experience with 26 ft box trucks is a must. Potential candidates must be at least 25
years of age, valid state driver's license(Chauffeur or Enhanced,) and good driving record – You WILL be driving the company vehicles. Travel is required for this position.
This position requires you to be able to deliver large household appliances/electronics (dishwashers, washer & dryers, ovens, ranges, cooktops, microwaves, plasma, LCD, LED Televisions), as well as handling them properly. Must be willing to learn the installer role as well for backup on stops with multiple items delivered.
Provide friendly, top-notch customer experience through white glove service with a
servant's heart in our stores and during customers' home deliveries. Through safe and
compliant loading/unloading and installation of products. While following all handling
and transportation procedures.
Main Responsibilities:
Transport appliances to a variety of destinations.
Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues.
Able to perform preventative maintenance.
Follow routes and meet delivery schedules.
Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving.
Retain fuel/toll receipts.
Comply with truck driving rules and regulations, as well as following company
policies and procedures.
Maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions.
Collect and verify delivery instructions.
Report defects, accidents, or violations timely*
Key Requirements:
Truck/Delivery Driver experience.
Must have own tools.
Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
Able to lift over 100 lbs. with assistance.
Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
No recent moving or driving violations.
Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather
conditions, etc.)
Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations. No Felonies
A Valid Driver's License
Responsibilities:
Usually you will have 13-20 stops a day
Day consists of pickup of route and appliances from warehouse, then delivering
to customer's homes, offices,
Job Type: Full Time 1099-Contractor
Pay: $19-21 per hour
MUST COME TRAINED IN APPLIANCE INSTALLATION OF THE FOLLOWING:
(COMFORTABLE WITH GAS & ELECTRIC) WASHER/DRYER, RANGE STOVE,
DISHWASHER, REFRIGERATOR, OTR MICROWAVE.
Quarterly Performance-based evaluations (every 3 months)
Semi-Annual Merit-based raises (every 6 months)
Weekly pay must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
Schedule:
10-12 hour shift
Day shift
4-6 days Per Week Monday to Saturday
Saturdays Required
