We are the community behavioral health organization responsible for the delivery of mental health, substance abuse treatment coordination, and developmental disabilities services for Kent County. We are seeking a Medical Director to provide innovative leadership for system development, clinical best practice implementation, clinical and program consultation, and performance improvement. Position is responsible for assuring appropriate and high-quality psychiatric services are available and delivered to eligible consumers, using the resources of Network180 staff and programs. Provides psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management for assigned patients.
This position is 10-12 hours per week.
Network180 has made the safety of our employees a priority. We provide Personal Protection Equipment to our employees and thorough safety and cleaning protocols are in place. Staff providing services in person are required to wear appropriate PPE. Job interviews are being conducted either via the internet or in person.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Licensed in the State of Michigan as a Physician, valid DEA, and Medicaid enrolled
- Medical Degree with an active, unencumbered license
- Minimum of two years of experience as a practicing psychiatrist
- Experience treating individuals who have intellectual and developmental disabilities such as those on the autism spectrum.
- Satisfactory communication skills both verbal and written.
- Satisfactory interpersonal and human relations skills.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use
- Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and skills and capabilities of bridging language/cultural barriers to Network180 services within diverse communities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Neurology and/or neuropsychiatry experience/training
- One year of experience in the clinical supervision of other psychiatrists, psychiatric residents or fellows, and/or nurse practitioners.
