We are seeking an RN to fill a full time role in our Ludington ER. Variable day or night shifts may begin at 4:00 or at 7:00.
Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan. Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA. This includes ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization and environmental health. Strives to achieve optimal outcomes.
Education - Associate's Degree or equivalent in Nursing is required upon hire. A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing must be obtained within 7 years for those who start in this RN role on or after January 1, 2017.
Experience - Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program
Licenses and Certs required -
Registered Nurse (RN) State of Michigan needed, Upon Hire
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 Days
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Emergency Department, within 180 days
RN - Emergency Nursing Pediatric Certification (ENPC) Emergency Department, within 1 1/2 Yrs
RN - Trauma Nursing Core Curriculum (TNCC) Emergency Department, within 1 Year
Emergency Nursing experience is strongly preferred
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Emergency Department 1 Year
National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification (NIH)
Clinical Area of Specialty Certification
Nursing Administration or Professional (Specialty) Certification, Charge Nurses 1 Year
