The Workforce Development Specialist/Instructor Assistant is responsible for the preparation and maintenance of various specialized reports, mailings, contracts and related correspondence for the unit. This includes establishing and maintaining tracking and filing systems and timely and accurate typing of correspondence, letters, reports, and program contracts for training (VET), community service, subsidized employment, on-the-job trainings, etc. Assists Instructors with scheduling customer orientations, conducting orientations, assessment testing, (CASAS and ONET), and workshops as needed. Additional duties include storage of program files according to record retention policies, greeting customers and guests, answering phone calls, and taking messages. In addition, responsibilities include serving as backup for Supportive Services Specialist and Boutique Specialist.
