JOB DESCRIPTION: General Cleaner, 2nd Shift (2:00pm to 10:30pm) and 3rd Shift (10:00pm to 6:30am)
LOCATION: Gerald R. Ford Airport
JOB SUMMARY
General duties include, maintaining the safety and cleanliness of the Gerald R. Ford Airport. Communicate with coworkers and supervision to provide the best possible service to airport staff and travelers. Represent the everyday culture of The Professional Group.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS – ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Clean and disinfect all restroom surfaces including walls, doors. Clean and disinfect all sinks and toilets. Clean mirrors. Sweep and mop floors. Remove trash and replace bags. Restock all paper products and soap
- Empty all trash containers and replace bags in public and secured areas. Spot clean and disinfect doors handles, wall railings, escalators and elevators as needed. Dust all flat surfaces. Vacuum carpeted floors or dust mop and damp mop all hard floor surfaces. Pick up debris and mop spills
- Disinfect seats and handrails in boarding areas and boarding ramps. Sweep/vacuum carpet and mop hard surface floors
- Other duties as assigned by management
- Immediately report all accidents, incidents, damages and client concerns to your supervisor
- Must be polite and act as an ambassador for the Gerald R. Ford Airport
- Adhere to all safety practices
- Promote and exhibit Company culture and values
- Ensure facilities are clean projecting a positive image of the Company
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- High school Diploma is preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Sustained periods of standing, sitting, walking and kneeling
- Ability to lift up to 5 to 10 pounds on a regular basis
- Must be able to pass a background check due to being in a federal building
