Position Summary
Under general supervision of the Production Manager, this position is responsible for maintenance and organization of a highly functioning warehouse environment. The position is responsible fulfilling orders, receiving, stocking, tracking, and issuing of materials, equipment, and supplies. This position also performs a variety of functions involving asset and inventory control, logistics, deliveries, and other errands.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Fulfillment Warehouse Specialist:
Identify and locate the items required on each work order, referring to the Location Report as needed.
Select product and move to the shipping area.
Package materials, label cartons and prepare for shipment.
Prepare shipping documents.
Place shipment for pick up.
Assume primary responsibility for receiving, accepting, unloading, stocking, and unpacking of delivered material.
Ensure delivered products match purchase order and packing slip in description, quantity, and condition
Organize receivables and supplies for inventory or immediate delivery to facilities, departments, and branches. Coordinate with employees, couriers, partners and vendors to ensure goods are secured and safely delivered to intended recipients
Maintain accurate records of goods received, and ensure that records are appropriately recorded in compliance with best practices and in compliance with policies on record retention
Verify inventory by comparing to physical counts, investigating discrepancies, and adjusting for errors
Mark stock items using identification tags, or other labeling equipment
Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms or other areas
Maintain organization and cleanliness throughout warehouse environment and loading areas to promote a safe and efficient workplace
Upon request, monitor and track shipments to ensure that goods are received in a timely manner and that late deliveries are received and unloaded expeditiously
Maintain inventory and supply storage areas to ensure proper inventory levels, and discards outdated materials and supplies upon request
Stock warehouse with received materials by proper shelf location and ensure stocked materials are appropriately labeled and marked with inventory tracking numbers
Operate and maintain computerized inventory management and asset tracking software systems
Operate other monitoring and tracking software and equipment for USPS, Federal Express, United Parcel Service, and other related delivery channels
Coordinate warehouse logistics to ensure efficient transport of goods and materials, assist with maneuvering inventory, supplies, and delivery vehicles to maintain efficient workspace and operations
Retrieve and organize materials, supplies, equipment or tools for use by employees and vendors and stages orders for delivery, and ensure that products are appropriately tagged to work order or tracking logs
Respond to various requests by employees and management in a timely and professional manner
Communicate effectively with coworkers to provide feedback on goods and services received
Operates fork truck, pallet jacks, moving equipment, and other delivery vehicles
Perform other duties and assist other employees, as assigned
Consistently provide superior service
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
Fulfillment Warehouse Specialist:
Valid Driver's license with a good driving record is required
Good grammatical and typing/ data entry skills with an emphasis on accuracy
Approachable demeanor and ability to collaborate effectively with coworkers. Exhibit a positive attitude and commitment to excellence.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to stand, bend, twist, climb and reach throughout complete shift
Forklift experience is preferred
This position requires the ability to work varied hours between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
