Position Summary
Manages the creation, development, coordination, and implementation of NMC Extended Educational Services' marketing and promotion for the purpose of fulfilling the College's mission of providing Lifelong and Professional Learning. This position plays a key role in creating a strategic approach in promoting the EES products through paid, earned, owned and shared media. Oversees and manages all processes, timelines, vendors, mailings, website registration, office assistant personnel and related activities relevant to catalog and term production. This includes regular coordination with Information Technology and Public Relations within the college.
Qualifications
• Associate's degree (Required)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management (Required)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing and communication (Required)
• Demonstrated experience in graphic design using Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator and InDesign software (Required)
• Demonstrated experience in producing and publishing public relations, social media and web content (Required)
• Advanced efficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software (Preferred)
• Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism or related field (Preferred)
• Experience managing an organization's advertising activities (Preferred)
Essential Responsibilities
(Critical) Develops and implements the marketing plan for all EES promotions; direct mailings, e-news, social media, and more as appropriate. Works closely with EES programmers, NMC Public Relations (which supports EES marketing efforts with news releases and catalog/term promotion), and NMC internal/external partners to promote EES offerings. Manages photography, CRM, and other documents, programs, and applications involved in promotions.
(Critical) Oversees the catalog and term production operations. Implements and directs all processes and timelines that support the production of the EES catalog and EES terms and subsequently, supports the programs and events within this scope.
(Critical) Oversees the management of all courses and classes in both the catalog, website and registration software.
(Critical) Oversees promotion processes including print ads, composing copy for press releases and producing promotional materials.
(Critical) Prepares documents relating to schedule production as needed, such as registration system reports, the grand master of courses, archived courses, entering course descriptions and logistics into the software registration system, and internal schedules.
(Critical) Develops, creates and updates content for the web including building links and creating web pages. Understands website CMS and works with NMC's Public Relations team as needed.
(Critical) Maintains address records for mailings and e-blasts, coordinates large mailings with mail house vendor, and supervises in-house mailing projects.
(Critical) Works with EES programmer managers to develop targeted marketing plans for specific programs and special events.
(Critical) Acts as department lead in software used for online registration and course schedule setup and builds operations for daily work in these areas. Works closely with NMC Information Technology department in supporting and managing the software registration system.
(Critical) Organizes work and provides training for supplemental and office assistant staff.
