1. Possess an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Accounting, Health Administration, Medical Records Administration, Coding/Medical Billing, or closely related field; AND Have a minimum of one (1) year work experience in medical or behavioral health setting; two to three years of experience is preferred.
2. Obtain a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) Certificate or a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) Certificate within one (1) year of employment.
3. Experience in CAQH and insurance credentialing is preferred.
