Staff Accountant/Senior Accountant

We are seeking a can-do individual to maintain our current full revenue cycle functions. This Accountant position is responsible for the revenue cycle functions, accurate/timely execution of billing, treasury functions, revenue recognition and creating ad hoc financial analysis.

What you will do:
Revenue Recognition/Billing
- Manage full revenue cycle functions with minimal direction.
- Complete bi-weekly/monthly invoicing.
- Customer management through proper supporting documents to ensure compliance.
- Review and ensure compliance with government contracts.
- Regularly assist in analytics for groups as it relates to revenue cycle.
- Oversee closing process for AR and billing.
- Prepare quarterly financial engineering group reports.
- Understands and ensures GAAP is followed and stay up-to-date on any accounting changes as it relates to revenue recognition standards.
Accounts Receivable
- Responsible for timely and accurate posting of customer payments.
- Review aging schedules and proactively approach clients.
- Create and review cash flow reports.
What we need from you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 3 – 7+ years related accounting experience.
- Understanding of GAAP.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience using ERP and HRIS systems.
What’s a bonus to have:
- CPA, CMA, or MBA strongly preferred.
- Experience in government accounting/contracts.
- Experience creating analyses to assist management in decision making.
- Knowledge in payroll principles, practices, and federal and state regulations.
