Set up, operate, or tend lathe and turning machines to turn, bore, thread, form, or face metal or plastic materials, such as wire, rod, or bar stock.
The position of the Lathe Operator is, but not limited to the following:
- Sets up and operates lathe to perform machining operations.
- Read blueprints and/ or sketches and determines process for machining.
- Checks dimensions in intervals to hold tolerances.
- Document, sign and date finished dimensions for all work completed on Final Inspection Sheet.
