Position Summary:
Responsible for driving business results by delivering insights and actionable recommendations to supply chain decision makers. Responsible for managing assigned standard and ad hoc projects within the prescribed best practice framework while working closely with stakeholders and cross-functional supply chain areas. Responsible for developing and presenting insights to the business. Responsible for maintaining all assigned routine reporting.
Responsibilities:
* Responsible to lead investigations into multiple streams of data to help solve complex business issues. Perform ad-hoc data mining and analysis to support organizational decisions-making.
* Leverage knowledge of analytical, quantitative & statistical approaches to derive insights from large data sets, to solve complex, ambiguous business problems using business acumen.
* Design and implement reporting and dashboards utilizing established data warehouse structures that track and visually communicate key business metrics/KPIs, and provide actionable insights.
* Design and review algorithms/models to provide analysis and insights into trends used for predictability
* Streamlines, standardizes, and automates existing reporting, KPIs and analysis
* Executes on projects and supply chain strategic plan success metrics/KPIs.
* Mentor and/or coach less experienced supply chain data analysts.
Knowledge, Skills Abilities
* Hands-on experience with reporting, data discovery and visualization tools such as Microstrategy, MS Power BI, Cognos, Tableau or similar. MS Power BI preferred.
* Familiarity with data warehouses, data modeling and ETL concepts and statistical software such as R or SAS, scripting languages such as R & Python for data preparation/wrangling.
* Advanced analytics techniques like machine learning, AI and time-series forecasting experience preferred.
* Knowledge of supply chain systems such as warehouse management, transportation management, purchasing/replenishment, forecasting, inventory management preferred.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills. Project management skills and attention to detail.
Education:
Bachelors required (Masters preferred) or equivalent education/experience.
Majors: Data Analytics, Data Science, Operations Research or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Experience:
Minimum 7 years relevant experience
Supply chain experience preferred
