GENERAL SUMMARY:
The role of the Histotechnologist Student is to perform limited routine procedures performed in the Histopathology laboratory.Other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Embeds and properly orients surgical and autopsy tissue for microtomy.
- Cuts routine tissue specimens and control tissue according to defined protocols.
- Performs routine, special staining and immunohistochemistry of microscopic tissue sections.

A.Education / Training:Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology, Clinical Laboratory Sciences or currently enrolled in an affiliated university as a student in the Beaumont Schools of Histotechnology.
