About this Opportunity
As a Senior Financial Analyst - Stock Plan Administration, you'll lead specialized finance-related activities in support of multiple/large projects, functions, or major business units and product lines. Your area supported is a major element of the organization's business/operations. You will develop and/or oversee the preparation of highly detailed and complex analyses and research for financial forecasts, projections, and reports. Your assignments will typically provide exposure to the most complex financial concepts, issues, and activities.

- Communicatewith the leadership team, Board of Directors, and their advisors on share-based compensation programs.
- Conductactivities in accordance with GAAP and established Herman Miller guidelines.
- Conductfinancial analysis through the application of advanced and/or specialized accounting and finance principles, concepts, theories, and techniques.
- Contactand networkwith both internal and external sources to collect, validate, and interpret more complex data, and lead thecommunication of more detailed technical information.
- Continuously increase yourknowledge of the organization and personal business acumen through ongoing learning activities.
- Developwork strategies to achieve desired results and conductactivities with limited supervision, conferringwith leadership on unusual issues or situations.
- Influencebusiness decisions by effectively forecasting, preparing, and presenting financial forecasts.
- Workas a lead on complex problems andprojects that are broad andrequire athorough understanding of accounting and finance fundamentals.
- Providesupport on special projectsas they arise, such as business acquisitions anddivestitures.
- Workwith cross-functional areas to identify and implement continuous process improvements.
- Administerthe executive and Board of Director compensation plans, as well as the Employee Stock Purchase Program.
- Accountfor the various stock transactions, often requiring specialized technical knowledge.
- Serveas a key contact for stockholders - employees and external.
- Developand trackequity compensation and departmental budget plans andforecasts.
- Completeand file required forms for Section 16 reporting.
- Coordinateand preparatethe annual Proxy Statement.
- Coordinatethe annual shareholder material mailing.
- Coordinatethe Annual Shareholder Meeting.
- Compiledata required for ownership reporting.
- Maintain cross-functional communication (Payroll, Compensation, Tax, Legal, Subs, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and G/L).
- Maintain external vendor communication.
- Maintainand communicateconfidential information.
- Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- A CPA and/or CEP (preferred).
- Six years of experience in a professional financial environment.
- Highly developed and thorough knowledge and expertise in the financial area of specialty.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly developed analytical skills to analyze problems and generate new ideas and solutions.
- The ability to identify, define, and resolve complex problems, projects, and programs, as well as the ability to identify trends and issues.
- The ability to accomplish desired objectives and outcomes by influencing individuals at all levels, including internal and external management.
- The ability to use the office automation, communication, software, and tools in the Herman Miller office environment, including related financial programs and software.
- The ability to work effectively independently and within a team environment.
- The abilityto perform all essential job functions of the position with or without accommodations.
