H & P Technologies, Inc. is a fast-growing industrial distributor and service company based in Warren, Michigan. Our BEHCO division, is looking for an energetic and motivated Customer Service Representative to join our team. BEHCO is an industrial distributor of fluid power, motion control & automation components and systems, and collaborative robots.
As a Customer Service Representative, you’ll be responsible for researching, processing, and resolving customer questions about products, orders, and pricing. We’ll train you on the information you need to know about insurance plans to help ensure your success.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with product questions, sales, and order taking via phone, email and chat
- Process requests for price, delivery, order status, order expedites and technical product assistance
- Monitor open orders to ensure process is on schedule
- Be proactive by asking relevant questions to provide the best solutions for customer needs
- Research through multiple sources when needed to determine best product/solution for the customer
- Use metric goals to improve job performance
- Build rapport with customer, vendors, and outside sales personnel
- Enhance product and technical knowledge by studying new product information and participating in training and educational opportunities
Skills and Experience
- Excellent Customer Focus and understanding of total customer satisfaction
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and grammar
- Excellent people and relationship building skills
- Customer driven with a positive, professional, customer first attitude.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task with attention to detail and accuracy

- Proven proficiency and experience in the use of business operational software
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel and other corporate productivity tools
- Possess an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor
- Aptitude to learn about technical products and provide technical support to customers
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
- Customer service experience preferred
