Responsibilities
Position Summary:
An Installation Software Developers focus should be to work with Installation management as well site supervisors to modify, maintain and develop software solutions to help manage the installation operations day to day business.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in internal meetings with installation personnel to determine gaps identifying software solution needs
Generate business requirement documentation around future software tools to present the need to other Dematic stakeholders
Work closely with Dematic Global Engineering & Tools team to ensure long term support from Dematic IT
Research off the shelf programs or create software tool concept presentations for potential users and internal stakeholders
Examine existing software solutions for improvements and work with other Dematic departments to drive resolution to the needed corrections
Work in conjunction with Installations business analysts to modify and/or maintain existing department software tools
Work with installation training manager to develop documentation and roll out plan for new software tools
Writing and implementing minor coding for concepts and initial designs
Qualifications
Education:
Minimum High School Diploma
Preferably degree in IT or computer science.
5-7 years of software development or analyst experience.
Knowledge and Experience:
Must be able to independently develop, lead, and manage multiple initiatives using common project management methodologies (JIRA for example)
Must have expert abilities in Microsoft Excel & data manipulation/analysis
Must have experience in web development as well as SQL and relational databases
Must understand reporting of data in tools like Microsoft Power BI & HTML
Must be familiar with tools like Microsoft PowerApp or Google AppSheet
Experience using structured (ie. snowflake) and unstructured (CSV or excel files) data is a plus
IT project management experience & report outs is an added benefit
Must be able to present high-level ideas to management and installation supervisors
