We at Evoqua Water Technologies, LLC are so excited to share our new opportunity for a Buyer II at our branch in Holland! For this new opening, we are seeking dymanic and experienced candidates to impact the business and manage processes.
The Buyer manages an expenditure base typically of 10-20 million per year for materials and/or services to support the company's manufacturing operations. The buyer is responsible to utilize Strategic Sourcing Approved Supplier List for source selection and procurement functions directly associated with the company's needs for direct/indirect materials and services, fixed assets and tooling. These products and services are to be secured at cost quality and at delivery competitive levels consistent with company policy and performance standards. The position is further responsible for the timely planning and scheduling of receipt and inventory control of the products and services as assigned consistent with SAP software requirements or as appropriately concluded with a requisitioner. This position will collaborate with manufacturing, planning, strategic procurement, logistics, engineering, quality, project management and finance personnel in the completion of duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Procures materials, components, equipment and services at the lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability of source and urgency requirements
Reviews SAP MRP on a regular basis; adjusts part and supplier settings to match the dynamic demand and supply requirements. Executes pull-ins, push outs, cancellations, expedites and new orders at minimal cost as required.
Selects suppliers from the Approved Vendor List, issues RFQs, analyzes proposals, negotiates price and delivery, issues and/or adjusts purchase orders in a timely manner
Works with suppliers to utilize Evoqua Supplier Portal to access their purchasing information, acknowledge requests/orders, provide updated order status and issue invoices
Tracks, provides material status and expedites actual and forecast shortage materials as required to achieve timely receipt of materials
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 5 years in a related procurement environment required.
Ability to multi-task with conflicting priorities is required.
Bachelor's degree preferred with emphasis in business administration, economics or engineering with five years of progressively responsible purchasing and materials control experience in a manufacturing environment.
Business experience in high technology low volume / high mix product industries preferred.
APICS, CPM, CPIM preferred
Experience in SAP ERP manufacturing environment strongly preferred
Excellent interpersonal, written/oral communication and teamwork skills.
Solid understanding of/experience with MS office - required excel, preferred project
