As Civil Roadway Design Engineer for Value Engineering, you will support all phases of projects and quality efforts from inception through production both in new product and in existing product. We are looking for an experienced Construction Technician to join the team as we connect people and communities by providing innovative transportation solutions to the greater Lansing and Detroit areas.
Specifically, you will…
- Develop technical project reports and technical memorandums
- Assist with development of project work plans
- Assist in cost estimating
- Maintain records or oversee recording of information by others to ensure engineering drawings and documents are current and that engineering-related production problems and resolutions are documented.
- Assist with quality control plans
- Have inspections to insure that it complies with plans, specifications, health and safety guidelines
- Assure quality control plans are followed
- Assist with quality control process for submittals
- Support efforts to develop and maintain project work plans
- Communicate on task status and support internal project communication
What’s in it for you…
Required: Minimum 1 year relevant experience to this industry
Preferred: Associates Degree in Civil Engineering, Experience with MicroStation
Details: This is a full-time, salaried/exempt position; general office hours are 8 am – 5 pm weekdays with occasional evening and weekend work as needed
