Job Summary
- Supervises the development and implementation of program office functions: Project Controls, Reporting and Metrics. Also, supervises administration, communications, regulatory coordination and support, and facilities management coordination. Ensures program strategy and direction are properly translated into measurable business strategies, objectives and milestones. Develops and maintains the communication strategies regarding projects. Supervises the tracking of organizational goals and objectives. Leads and drives process change, continuous improvement and positive relationships with stakeholders. Consults with vendors and suppliers. Supervisory/management responsibilities for a staff of less than 10 whose tasks are technical & professional in nature, typically provided by a combination of exempt (salaried) & nonexempt employees.
Key Accountabilities
- Supervises the development and implementation of Program Office functions: project controls, reporting and metrics.
- Consults with stakeholders, vendors and suppliers.
- Change management: develops implementation plans, communicates changes effectively, builds commitment and overcomes resistance, prepares and supports those affected by change, monitors transition and evaluates results.
- Develop practices, procedures and processes to facilitate the operational objectives.
- Coaches and counsels members of cross-functional teams to accomplish goals to meet established objectives and resolve operational issues.
- Supervision: Defines roles and responsibilities, motivates and challenges employees, delegates effectively, rewards contributions.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a job-relevant field (Engineering, etc) and 5 years of relevant experience, including 2 years of project management experience
Other Qualifications
Preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- At least 2 years of supervisory or 'lead worker' experience.
- Prefer Green Belt or higher certification.
- Prefer scheduling and estimiating experience
Other Requirements
- Knowledge of Operating System, such as LEAN and Six Sigma, and business requirement analysis.
- Working knowledge of plant operation, maintenance and outage management.
- Contract Administration experience.
- Leadership skill and ability to work effectively with people at all levels, both internal and external to the Company.
- Ability to establish clear direction, gain consensus, align resources and motivate and influence a crossfunctional team.
- Communications & influencing skills: the ability to design and conduct presentations at all levels of the Company, and engage in persuasive written & verbal interaction.
