As a Sales Representative, you are responsible for selling Coyote's services to Middle Market sized customers. You will create your individual portfolio of accounts through research and prospecting while providing logistics solutions based on individual customer needs. As a Sales Representative, your development focus is on account-specific growth strategies, complex selling, navigating longer sales cycles, and becoming more consultative in your customer relationships. You work with operations teams that handle the day-to-day operations of your accounts so you can focus on further developing your portfolios. Sales Representatives have the professionalism necessary to navigate some of the largest and most complex opportunities while upholding Coyote's No Excuses commitment to service.
Daily Tasks & Responsibilities (include, but not limited to):
- Research leads to identify decision makers and develop background information for sales calls
- Use creative and persistent methods to prospect and generate new business opportunities
- Maintain relationships with key stakeholders and continue to develop existing customer accounts
- Be proactive when dealing with issues & respond with a sense of urgency, escalating when necessary
- Effectively quote the customer considering all variable factors
- Be a consultative resource to customers & leads by working with cross departmental subject matter experts and recognizing solutions and services best suited for their individual needs
- Possess an in-depth understanding of each Coyote service offering
- Have a thorough understanding of market trends and industry insights and Coyote service offerings to facilitate effective pricing & provide value to customers
- Collaborate with Operations Team to implement effective solutions for customer needs
Experience, Skills & Characteristics:
- 1+ years of sales and/or account management experience
- Experience with formal meeting preparation and face-to-face customer interaction
- Efficient time management skills with the ability to recognize and prioritize profitable opportunities
- Strong negotiation skills - persuasiveness, aggressiveness, confidence
- Effective and professional communication skills and strong customer service skills
- Confident decision-making skills, issue resolution and problem solving ability
Preferred Experience:
- Logistics or related experience preferred
