The Director of Revenue Requirements and Analysis leads the team reasponsible for revenue requirement development and analysis for general rate cases and other regulatory filings as well as analysis used for internal decision making. This role is critical to achieving operating, customer and financial plan outcomes. The Director of Revenue Requirement and Analysis will maintain relationships with key MPSC Staff members as well as coworkers in accounting, finance, tax, legal and rate case witness teams to ensure quality in revenue requirement analysis. This position requires an extensive understanding of the utility business, rate making and fianancial concepts, well developed interpersonal relationship skills, the ability to manage numerous tasks, and the ability to lead a team to succesfully deliver quality analysis and results.
Responsibilities:
Deliver Positive Regulatory Outcomes
- Understand rate case proposals and the impact those proposals have on the revenue requirement calculations.
- Provide guidance and support to accounting, tax, finance, and rate case witness teams in developing rate case proposals.
- Participate in cross functional discussions that may impact revenue requirement calculations.
- Utilize a fundamental understanding of core utility business model dynamics to define strategies that will lead to positive, sustainable regulatory outcomes for the Company and its customers
Analyze and understand the implications of regulatory outcomes
- Coordinate and provide timely summaries of rate case milestones.
- Evaluate MPSC Commission orders to understand impacts to revenue requirement work and calculations.
- Consult with accounting and tax on regulatory matters that may require accounting entries or adjustments.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in applicable field. Accounting or Finance degree preferred.
- 15+ years applicable experience

Essential Functions
