Job Summary: Speech Therapist at Sheridan Community Hospital & Clinics deliver care to outpatient, inpatient and Short-term Rehab Program (Swing Bed) patients. With the Short-Term Rehab Program, Speech Therapists must provide quality patient care without unrealistic productivity demands.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Evaluates Educates, consults with and treats individuals.
• Implements patient care programs designed to assist the disabled patient regain swallowing and communication through the utilization of selected speech language therapy procedures.
? This includes treatment planning, performance of tests and measurements, interpretation of referrals, instruction, consultative services and supervision of personnel.
• Treatment procedures are geared to develop, recover, maintain the daily living, improve swallow, basic cognitive functioning and compensate for permanent loss.
