Job Description
GM Defense position supporting Low Volume Military Variants and Government Programs, specifically in the area of C4ISR Systems Integration (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance). Cybersecurity and Combat systems experience is a plus.
Individuals are expected to operate with a high level of independent judgement and are typically responsible for implementing functional strategy, administering and coordinating programs, counseling and advising management.
A fully qualified individual contributor will provide expert judgment and analysis for the design, development and implementation of C4ISR technical products and electrical systems in US Army or Marine Corps Ground Combat Vehicle Platforms to include Tactical Wheeled Vehicles. Resolve highly complex technical issues and interact directly with the customer based on approved military performance specifications or Government regulations or policies. Recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures. Relies mostly on extensive personal experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and likely directs the work of others but has no direct reports.
* Develop C4ISR system/sub-system integration plans for military/Government programs
* Broad, cross vehicle level system knowledge with US Army or Marine Corps Ground Combat Vehicle Platforms to include Tactical Wheeled Vehicles
* Develop deep understanding of unique customer requirements and performance specifications on classified systems
* Maximize component and sub-system reuse to meet unique government requirements
* Ability to work cross functionally with limited ability to share product or system information specific to customer applications
* Knowledge of C4ISR hardware, software, and calibration to lead system integration
* Root cause issues on customer specific systems and total vehicle integration
* Represent GM Defense in C4ISR systems reviews with customers and leadership
* Electrical integration on low volume variants and Engineering Development Vehicles (EDV's) as needed.
* Systems responsibility for electrical content
* Support and coordinate resources for wiring design and build
* Support and coordinate resources for module selection, software modifications and debugging
Additional Job Description
Basic Required
* BS in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
* 5+ years' C4ISR experience (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) in US Army or Marine Corps Ground Combat Vehicle Platforms to include Tactical Wheeled Vehicles
* Experience working within the DoD acquisition framework, generating electrical designs and/or specifications.
* Demonstrated experience with generating technical data packages to support integration of C4ISR systems on tactical vehicles
* 5+ years' experience in INCA, Vspy and Simulink
* Experience with mechanical and electrical (routing; wiring) diagrams and using them to troubleshoot
* C4ISR S/W and H/W Electrical integration / Trouble shooting experience
* General knowledge of mechanical side of electrical systems
* Experience with data acquisition and analysis
* Collaborates well with others that are not direct reports
* Ability to work professionally with suppliers and vendors directly
* This position requires legally operating a motor vehicle
* GM Level 2 Driving Certification
* GM DFSS Black Belt Certification
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
* US travel up to 25%
* Must have the ability to obtain a secret clearance
Preferred
* Master's degree in Engineering Discipline
* GM vehicle development, build and launch experience (prefer K2XX, T1XX, 31XX....)
* Experience with the TEMPEST review process (Telecommunications Electronics Materials Protects from Emanating Spurious Transmissions)
* Experience with VICTORY (Vehicular Integration for C5ISR and Electronics Warfare Interoperability) processes and working group
* Experience executing a Contractor Systems Integration Lab (CSIL) or a Government Systems Integration Lab (GSIL)
* Experience with Net Ready Certification
* Experience with Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) analysis, studies, inspections and tests
* Established network of DRE and EGM contacts within GM for modules, features, etc.
* Familiarity with manufacturing processes, including low volume
* Experience with the development of C4ISR training for military operators and/or maintainers
* Possess a DoD Secret clearance
* US Passport and ability to travel globally up to 25%
