Essential Duties
Provide prompt, professional, helpful, knowledgeable and courteous member service.
Answer questions effectively and provide information as requested.
Prepare and process all paperwork needed to finalize a commercial loan.
Access credit-reporting system and review report and compare against the loan application.
Secure all documents and signatures to perfect any liens or notes and security agreements.
Obtain proof of insurance on collateral, when applicable.
Update pending loan files on a daily basis.
Duties and Responsibilities
The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by this position. It is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities and skills required of this position. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
- Deliver on the Credit Union’ Service Promises in every service situation.
- Responsible for the Commercial Loan Servicing Function, recommending changes to improve business loan servicing efficiency and assisting the Commercial Lending Manager, as assigned including, but not limited, to the following responsibilities:
- Managing the Financial Statement Tickler Report;
- Managing the Insurance and UCC Tickler Reports;
- Responsible for UCC Tickler system for the Business Department for follow-up on continuation statements and terminations;
- Responsible for managing the property tax payment verifications/tax escrow analysis;
- Responsible for Pre-Closing and Post-Closing reviews for business loan closings. Post any loan exceptions on tickler system;
- Prepare loan docs using Laserpro or Compliance One;
- Prepare files and scan loan documents;
- Update and manage loan exception report on monthly basis;
- Develop new business loan files;
- Prepare assistance in reviewing, preparing and maintaining various credit files.
- Processes mail as required.
- Other duties as assigned.

- While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit for up to 3 hours at a time, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and talk or hear.
- The vision requirements include close vision and ability to adjust focus for up to 8 hours per day.
- Nature of position requires physical mobility and the ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
Work Environment
- Must maintain a neat and orderly work area.
- Routinely clean and disinfect work areas (i.e. teller stations, desk surfaces, phones, electronic equipment).
- Wipe down teller windows and desk surfaces after every Member and Team Member interaction. If limited or no Member interactions, this practice is to be completed a minimum of twice a day.
- Wipe down door handles, drive thru canisters, desks, telephones, areas that are often touched by members or team members coming in frequently.
- Sanitize shared spaces such as break rooms, whiteboards, and meeting tables after every use.
- Protect the confidentiality of credit union staff and members by locking door or removing items from desk/workstation when away.
Education and Experience
- Minimum high school graduate or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 to 3 years’ experience in the financial industry.
- Able to operate a 10 key calculator and typewriter.
- Experienced in operating a personal computer.
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
