The Team: Our global creative team consist of a diverse group of User Experience Designers, Interaction Designers, 2D and 3D Visual Designers, Motion Graphic Artist, Modelers and Developers. We collaborate with the interior and exterior design studios, product planning, brand teams, software teams, engineering, and outside suppliers through all stages of the product development cycle. At the core we leverage hardware, software, and strategic partnerships to support the foundational pillars that uniquely make each product meaningful and special. The Job: In this role, you will continually improve our customer's experience by utilizing new technologies to deliver new features and continuous improvements in real-time. You will ensure consistency, simplicity and ease of use with logical and well thought out behaviors and actions. The Senior UI Designer will coordinate with multiple disciplines through design iteration, testing and refinement throughout the development process (CX, Dealer Network, Connected Services, Quality, HMI) and will manage two interaction designers.
Responsibilities:
- Represent the UX Team in the ideation and creation of roadmaps and design solutions targeting customer education and continuous improvement.
- Comprehensive and authoritative knowledge of our systems information architecture and operation.
- Organizing, guiding and interpreting user feedback using a variety of design testing methods.
- Provide insight into customer observations and expectations.
- Make complex scenarios simple and approachable, while at the same time making them interesting and compelling
- Expertly articulate ideas, design decisions, and design work to stakeholders
- Development of junior designers.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human-centered interaction, design, statistics, psychology, or related field
- 5 years of experience in Interaction Design and User Testing
- Proven track record of delivering compelling user-centered solutions using data as a rationale for decisions
- Ability to guide, interpret and perform user testing to build a strategic and user-friendly design
- Ability to communicate complex concepts simply - both internally & customer facing
- Knowledge of design systems and component design
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge of Interaction Design
- A portfolio demonstrating past work experience and deliverables (e.g., study plans, reports, personas)
- Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills; the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization
- A passion and capacity to advocate on behalf of our users
