Job Description
Our Videographer creates engaging content that is disseminated across various digital platforms. The ideal candidate must possess a keen understanding of our product knowledge as well as the brand's personality and tone; helpful, relatable, friendly, hardworking, hands-on and experienced.
Our Videographer is required to work in-house as well as various on-location sites which may include ponds and rugged terrain for photo and video production.?However, during the pandemic, there is availability to work remote on days your onsite presence is not required. Remote employees must be able to meet the standards of The Pond Guy's telecommuting policy which include internet speeds and workspace requirements.
Responsibilities
Here are some examples of work your day would include:
- Collaborate with all departments to conceptualize, create, and launch a variety of branded, engaging content for digital platforms
- Actively run and participate in brainstorming sessions for various creative opportunities across the business
- Shoot, edit, finalize and manage video assets
- Work hand-in-hand with copywriters to finalize scripts and storyboards
- Create shot lists and action plans for video shoots
- Prepare and coordinate equipment, personnel and/or props for a successful video shoot
- Propose concept drafts and present underlying strategic thinking to business leaders
- Produce error-free content that adheres to the company's tone and style guidelines across the TPG family of brands
- Interpret creative direction and adapt points into persuasive content
- Simultaneously manage multiple projects with short deadlines
- Manage 3rd party vendors as needed
- Shadow Marketing and Creative teams to provide cross departmental support and collaboration
Don't know about ponds? That's ok! You'll be trained to be proficient in your job. We utilize an interactive combination of hands-on and visual training to ensure everyone has a full understanding of the TPG family of brands proactive approach to pond management.
Skill Set
To be successful in this role, you need to have a certain amount of knowledge and skills:
- Strong video, sound and editing skills for numerous digital platforms
- Experience with Creative Suite including Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects; Final Cut Pro is also acceptable
- Experience in Photography required; Comfortable with professional level DSLR
- Ability to work lighting and sound in studio and on location
- Experience giving direction to participants of a shoot
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating and planning a successful shoot
- Open and receptive to critique but also able to represent their own work and stand up for content
- Scriptwriting a strong plus
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
- Take accountability and ownership of his/her own work
Because this position provides a variety of tasks, the physical requirements are required for both an in-office and in-the-field environment. This position requires manual dexterity for typing, sitting at a desk and looking at a computer screen for typing for long periods of time. This position also requires the ability to swim, manual dexterity for working with small components, ability to complete repetitive motions for long periods of time, bending, continual lifting, lowering and carrying packages that typically weigh 25 - 50 lbs. and managing packages up to 150 lbs as well as standing/stooping for long periods of time. In the field, expect adverse weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, etc. for portions of the position that may be completed in these circumstances.
We are looking for a Videographer who is creative, innovative and able to easily adapt to rapid changes in consumer references. This person should continually add value to the organization beyond their day-to-day tasks.
Availability
You must be available to work between the hours of 7am and 6pm Monday – Friday with the occasional evening or Saturday for projects that must be done outside of normal business hours.
