POSITION TITLE: Human Resources Business Partner
GENERAL SUMMARY: Provides a broad range of strategic HR services to leaders within the assigned business area(s). HRBPs proactively translate the group's business strategies into HR solutions that best enable the team to meet its strategic objective. In addition, our HRBPs ensure quality HR service delivery through effective collaboration with the Centers of Expertise (COE) teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Identifies systematic challenges and implements necessary solutions that are aligned with the HR strategy and Beaumont Health's Mission, Vision, and Values.
- Monitors existing policies and procedures while making recommendations for improvement.
- Provides immediate fixes to acute emergencies.
- Creates sustained solutions to individual employee issues.
- Partners with Talent Management to improve workforce planning, recruitment strategies, and succession management.
- Collaborates with Payroll, HRIS, Compensation, and Benefits teams as needed to provide solutions to business challenges.
- Identifies training solutions for business units and individual coaching needs; including providing assistance for on-site training and development courses.
- Manages conflicts and diffuses tensions among employees.
- Provides support and counsel to leaders and employees to implement new human resources policies and programs. This may include resolving employee relations, labor relations and performance issues.
- Leverages employee recognition programs to support existing and future talent management and employee engagement initiatives.
- Analyzes trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
- Provides insight and makes recommendations to optimize Beaumont's organizational design.
- Leads HR projects to successfully meet established goals within cost, schedule, and quality parameters.
STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources areas, such as employee relations, compensation, benefits, talent acquisition, and labor relations. Experience in a health care setting is desirable.
- PHR, SPHR or other human resources certification preferred.
Other Qualifications:
- Proven strong foundation and knowledge of principles and practice of HR, including employment law and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to organize, multi-task and prioritize tasks.
- Exceptional time management.
- Ability to make recommendation to effectively resolve problems or issues.
- Proven ability to effectively coach employees and management through complex and difficult issues.
