The Content Strategist role will be responsible for assessing and setting direction on web communications on behalf of the organization. In order to get the maximum business value out of content, the strategist must consider its purpose, management, production, delivery, measurement and re-use, while taking into consideration the long-term capabilities and priorities of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Leverage web content, marcom, and user experience skills to help develop our next-generation partner portals.
- Apply a metrics-driven approach to evaluating and developing content.
- Apply client-relationship skills to evangelize and socialize web content standards and processes to internal stakeholders.
- Ensure overall quality of current partner sites: Edit/proofread content to ensure it follows both standard and company-internal style guides.
- Handle requests for site updates and corrections with speed and accuracy.
- Review and prioritize requests, working with content owners to ensure content fits into site IA and page design.
- Track style evolutions and ensure documentation and distribution via style guide and coaching/training.
- Maintain and evolve CMS templates and workflows to improve operational efficiency.
Build, publish, and edit web pages in CMS. - Mentor and guide other staff: Review team members’ work, coach, train, and lead by influence.
- Demonstrate the ability to work with various media teams on projects and provide strong guidance to ensure the mobile recommendations are presented properly.

Qualifications:
- Ability to manage and organize workloads to meet deadlines

- Strong interpersonal skills demonstrated with clients, agency teams and individuals.
- Problem/solution thinker with a strong ability to collaborate, persuade and negotiate toward solutions.
- Displays resiliency while working under pressure, in a dynamic environment, with shifting deadlines and deliverables.
- Strong communication skills – written, verbal, text, etc.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, or related field preferred.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in web content management and strategy.
- Web copyediting experience, with expertise in web, corporate, and Chicago style guides, plus superior command of standard American English.
- Demonstrated client-relationship, evangelism, or training/mentoring skills.
- Demonstrated experience using metrics to develop and refine strategy.
- Experience publishing in a CMS and knowledge of HTML.
- Experience working on partner content, portals, or programs is helpful, as is
experience working with globally distributed teams.
- Experience in the security, storage, cloud computing, and/or enterprise or SMB software industries is also helpful.
- Some experience with structuring and evaluating user experience research.
