Overview
Snap-on Business Solutions in Rochester Hills, Michigan, is seeking a temporary customer service/call center specialist that will provide technical support for Snap-on's Fleet customers including troubleshooting, and documentation and training for assigne product lines.
Responsibilities
1 Provide support for Fleet customers including proper equipment operation and use and diagnosis and troubleshooting problems for field technicians.
2 Analyze product performance to identify problems and make recommendations to improve and enhance products.
3 Support new product implementation by working closely with PC Integration as products are developed and updated to make recommendations and resolve problems encountered in the field.
4 Document incoming calls. Develop and maintain information databases as required.
5 Work with the Training & Documentation group to write technical documentation on products for field technicians' use including service bulletins, installation instructions and service manuals.
6 Work with the Training & Documentation group to develop, coordinate, and conduct training programs for field personnel.
7 Coordinate service activities on assigned products throughout the PDC.
8 Follow company policies and procedures.
9 Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications
1 Associates degree in related field and 1-3 years' experience or equivalent work experience.
2 A+ Certification preferred.
3 1-2 years' field service or technical support experience.
4 Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written including technical writing skills.
5 Presentation skills with prior training experience.
6 Computer skills: Proficiency with Windows OS, Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel.
7 Ability to troubleshoot a variety of PC problems.
8 Ability to read schematics and pneumatic diagrams.
9 Good organizational skills.
