Job Description
As a Program Manager, you will lead and facilitate the deployment of a newly formed Enterprise Corrective Action Program (ECAP). The Enterprise Corrective Action Program provides governance and tools for Enterprise personnel to easily report, prioritize, track, trend and resolve issues, resulting in an enhanced safety culture, reduced risk and a more efficient and compliant organization.
Specifically, the Corrective Action Program Manager will:
- Utilize servant leadership to manage a team responsible for key components of the Corrective Action Program (CAP) process. These components address the capture, screening, evaluation, and analysis (including root cause analyses) of asset-related failures, incidents, nonconformities, and other problems in operations; the development and completion of corrective and preventive action reports and plans; monitoring and trending; and the overall coordination of related activities.
- Manage programs, monitor and track work to ensure timelines and quality and ensures sufficient resources are allocated to support the CAP.
- Communicate and work effectively with internal and external departments and personnel to enable adoption and engagement. Enable problem solving through engagement to enable root cause analytics and gap closure.
- Conduct trend analysis by developing and tracking metrics to identify trends and issues requiring elevation to Leadership.
- Ensure compliance with the enterprise standards and regulatory compliance associated with the program.
- Develop and implement communication and training for assigned programs to target audience. Prepare reports and status updates; makes presentations to management and/or key program stakeholders.
- Conduct benchmarking and best practice reviews to continuously improve. Develop recommendations for improvements to tools and processes and associated training to improve productivity and reduce operational costs. Lead the implementation of best practices. Facilitate assessments of the program to support continuous process improvements. Assist with testimony research related to the program.
Once CAP has been deployed, this role will be responsible for maintaining and continually improving the program to ensure high quality key program elements including: a highly effective team; the usability of the CAP; high user satisfaction; timely issue resolution; and quality of actions put forth to closeout notifications. This team will work with departments throughout the Enterprise to assist with Cause Evaluation work and adverse trend analysis. Additional responsibilities include communication and presentations to Leadership/key stakeholders on the health and status of the CAP.
Requirements
- 8+ years of related experience
- BA/BS in Business, Engineering or related discipline. Less than a Bachelor's degree may be acceptable if accompanied by extensive Company or industry experience in positions that demonstrate required abilities and performance
- Experience leading enterprise-wide programs with aggressive change management, along with experience leading effective teams with resources that do not directly report in his/her operating structure
- LEAN or Six Sigma expertise, including experience with human error prevention tools, causal evaluation techniques.
- Experience leading projects across an Enterprise required; Project Management Certified (PMP Certification) strongly desired
- Root Cause Evaluation Certification/Demonstrated Expertise
Hours and Travel
Time will be spent in the office, headquarters or specific field location (indoors & outdoors). This position will require the ability to travel between field locations and for other related business travel. This position may include nights and weekend/holiday timeframes or in an emergency response situation. Corporate office environment; occasional travel (air, rail, and car) to other sites/locations, which may include generating plants
