We are currently looking for a Workplace Design Specialist II to join our Customer Service team in Holland, MI.

As a Workplace Design Specialist, you will:

Provide creative design application of Haworth products for internal and external customers at small floor plate, neighborhood, and workstation levels. Facilitate and manage small- and medium-scale projects. Provide support for large-scale projects for strategic bid response, corporate offices, showrooms, marketing projects, sales initiatives, mockups, trade shows, and/or photo shoots. Share knowledge and design through presentations and seminars to internal audiences, including Sales (including Architectural and Design [A&D]) members, and dealers. Support mock-ups if assigned to Customer Service.

• Bachelor's Degree in Design, Architecture or 8 years of design experience.

• 4 years commercial interior design experience.

• 1-year project management experience for small-scale projects.

• Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.

• 1 level of professional certification (National Council for Interior Design Qualification [NCIDQ], Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design [LEED], American Institute of Architects [AIA], or National Council of Architectural Registration Boards [NCARB]) and/or continuing coursework in business, design, or creative studies strongly preferred.

• Experience preparing objectives and schedules, as well as managing day-to-day responsibilities of workspace knowledge and theories, for customer-facing projects preferred.

• Demonstrated knowledge of commercial office interiors industry designing workstations.

• Good drafting and lettering skills necessary for presentation work.

• Strong working knowledge of current Automated Computer Aided Design (AutoCAD) application.

• Good interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work equally well as member of project team or independently.

• Must be able to be trusted with confidential information needed to perform work.

• Excellent client interaction and design skills.

• Ability to perform hand sketches and drawing skills preferred.

• Demonstrated space planning and project management ability.

• Based on assignment, understanding of workspace knowledge and theories and/or successful bidding strategies.

• Ability to occasionally travel away from "home" offices, including internationally throughout North America; minimal travel outside "home" area required
